All about Me!!
Hi! I am Gia Kise, a Ghanaian Contemporary Romance Author known for crafting swoon-worthy stories filled with strong, flawed, yet relatable characters with a happily ever after always guaranteed. When I'm not writing, you’ll find me binge-reading, watching Korean dramas, or surfing the web to learn new and random things. It's in the middle of the night, my characters usually come to life. Although some scenes and characters at random places. I have a BA in Communication Studies with a major in Public Relations and a Diploma in Communication with Journalism as my concentration. Currently I am studying to acquire a second degree. Why? I don't know. Maybe I do. I love acquiring knowledge in various sectors.
My Writing Journey
My writing journey started when I was young. I still remember the first book I published because my dad helped me with the printing of that book, where "published" means the pages of the book was printed on A4 sheets, stapled and shared among my classmates. The title was The Village of Animals and the details are a blur to me but the Lion was the King in that book obviously.
Before that experience, I used to write in an exercise book where I wrote various short stories and shared with my classmates and friends. Friends who liked to write will also write their stories in my book and sign off so when a reader picks the book, they know who wrote what.
As time went by, finishing a book or writing the full book like a novel became a far-away dream due to procrastination, excuses upon excuses, and if I am to give myself some grace, then Adulting. That was until the Zeal of finishing just one book became the goal. I believed it to be the breaking of cycling and the Start of my Journey.
All my books have elements of romance, family, pain, among other things.
Other things I do outside of Writing
- I play the Bamboo Flute
- I self-study the Guitar and so many things (I love studying)
- I dance (trust me, I ain't good yet but I do it anyway)
- I try out new things
